Rapport om den stærkt omdiskuterede indsamling af kæber, der skal bruges som pejlemærke på den danske kronvildtbestand, er nu frigivet

Det skriver Danmarks Jægerforbund, som er bannerfører for indsamling af kæber fra nedlagte krondyr. En indsamling, som forbundet mener kan anvendes til evaluering af aldersstrukturen i den danske kronvildtbestand.
Indsamlingen har mødt faglig modstand fra landets måske mest kyndige på området.
Den faglige kritik af metoden har medført, at initiativtager til Facebookgruppen “Hjortevildtforvaltning i Danmark”, som er en gruppe med ca. 2.100 medlemmer, har opfordret til boycot af indsamlingen indtil der er vished om metodens anvendlighed.
Kæberne, omtalt af Jægerforbundet, kom fra nedlagte danske krondyr og var indsendt på baggrund af den frivillige indsamling, som forbundet iværksatte i 2016.
