Jagttraditionerne i Ungarn er skrevet på en liste udarbejdet af UNESCO over særligt bevaringsværdige immaterielle forhold i Ungarn. Det skriver jagtmagasinet HuntMag
UNESCO står for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization og er FN’s organisation for uddannelse, kultur, kommunikation og videnskab.

UNESCO arbejder man sammen med ca. 350 forskellige ikkestatslige organisationer (NGO’er), som blandt andet fungerer som rådgivere og tætte samarbejdspartnere i specifikke projekter inden for deres ekspertområde.
Ungarns optagelse af landets jagttraditioner på UNESCOS nationale liste over bevaringsværdige forhold i Ungarn er blevet fremhævet som en fremtidssikring af jagten i landet.
Den officielle ceremoni blev afholdt i Parliament’s Hunting Hall, hvor certifikatet blev overdraget til Csaba Oláh, formand for Hunting Cultural Associationstated og hvor Beatrix Bán, næstformand i foreningen bl.a. udtalte:
“This recognition is not only for the Hunting Cultural Association, but the entire Hungarian hunting society. Preserving the legacy is both a serious responsibility and task. We look forward to being able to meet the obligations that we owe to you and we thank everyone for helping the Association achieve this success!”
