Det samlede vildtudbytte er gået lidt tilbage i jagtsæsonen 2016/2017. Bl.a. nedlægges der ikke så mange harer …

I den forgangne jagtsæson 2016/2017 faldt vildtudbyttet af pattedyr med fire procent i forhold til jagtsæson 2015/2016. Tilsvarende faldt vildtudbyttet af fugle med fem procent i forhold til den foregående jagtsæson.
Det viser den nye foreløbige vildtudbyttestatistik, som DCE – Nationalt Center for Miljø og Energi, Aarhus Universitet har lavet for Miljøstyrelsen. Statistikken bygger på indberetninger fra 92,1 procent af jægerne.
For pattedyrene skyldes nedgangen i vildtudbyttet bl.a., at der bliver nedlagt færre harer.
Antallet af nedlagte harer gik tilbage fra 52.059 til 45.999 i 2016/2017, mens der for rådyr var en nedgang i udbyttet fra 109.625 til 106.482 i 2016/2017.
Antallet af nedlagte vilde kaniner faldt fra 6.318 i 2015/2016 til 3.635 i 2016/2017.
Fuglevildt
For fuglevildtet skyldes tilbagegangen i antallet af nedlagt vildt blandt andet en nedgang i udbyttet for edderfugl, skeand og atlingand. Kortnæbbet gås tegner sig for en fremgang i udbyttet på over 50 procent i forhold til den foregående jagtsæson. DCE vurderer, at det skyldes, at kortnæbbet gås i 2016/2017 fik udvidet jagttiden med en måned.
I jagtsæsonen 2016/2017 indløste i alt 177.315 jægere jagttegn, hvilket er stort set uændret i forhold til året før.
Kvinder udgør 6,3 procent af jagttegnsløserne. Godt halvdelen (55 pct.) af de mandlige jagttegnsløsere nedlagde vildt. Blandt kvinderne nedlagde godt hver fjerde kvinde (27 pct.) vildt i jagtsæsonen.
